Ingrid's MayTech Global Investments is investing in breakthrough healthcare robotics that allow surgery to be done by robots. Ingrid shows how robots can execute intricate surgeries.
Ingrid explained why she is targeting investments in next-generation sequencing (NGS), recent technologies allow us to sequence DNA and RNA much more quickly and cheaply than the previously used Sanger sequencing, and have revolutionized the study of genomics and molecular biology.
For the fight against cancer, Ingrid is investing in revolutionary CAR-T therapy. In this type of treatment a patient's T cells (a type of immune system cell) are changed in the laboratory so they will attack cancer cells.
