"Hi! I’m Irene, a rising senior at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC.  I’ll be interning at the China-US Women’s Foundation this summer. I’ve studied Chinese for many years now, and the CUSWF’s mission of bridging the divide between Chinese and American women is one that resonates with me.   I’m super excited to work with so many amazing and inspiring women at the CUSWF!"

I have always been interested in women’s issues and I think this kind of work is especially important at times like these. I’m very excited to meet new people and learn a lot this summer with CUSWF."

"Hi, my name is Elaine Shao, and I am from Shanghai, China. I am a rising sophomore at Wellesley and a potential Economics major. I am so excited to be a summer intern at CUSWF this year! I want to gain more experience running a nonprofit organization and using social media to promote social changes."

Week Three Task: Poetry!

Interning at CUSWF was truly an educational and inspiring experience. Not only were all the directors incredibly supportive and helpful, but all the women I met through the program were intelligent and lovely to work with. I loved being able to use my interests in Mandarin and global affairs.
